Akai MPK - using the drum pads AND the keys.

First time post. I use bm2 live to trigger some samples.

I use an Akai mpk and have mapped out the keys to trigger different sounds. Does anyone know if I can use the drum pads at the same time? So keeping all the keyboard sounds... But also being able to hit the pads on the mpk that will trigger sounds (WAV FILES).

And advice or links would be helpful.

    Not sure man. I sold my Akai Mpk Mini because the pads were awful for me and required hard hitting. So therefore I'm not sure. I wish I could help you.

    If memory serves you turn off "Omni," then assign the midi input channel on the instrument that you want to use the keys for to the one for the keyboard (usually channel 1) and for the drum pads (usually channel 10).
