WOW!

man, i just installed beatmaker yesterday and already lost sveral hours because of it, while i was playing. my wife already became nervous what i was doing with this stupid ipod <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

beatmaker is really the coolest app so far. i am coming from an old-midi studio background but have stopped doing music some years ago. i have still several synthesizers at home and some korg electribe beatboxes. but i love the idea of having a music-making tool with me all the time, and therefore i love beatmaker.

i have already read about the suggestions and my biggest would also be to include a main-volume control.

i would also love to have a main velocity and groove-pattern, so when i adjust this, all other patterns, for the other pads are adjusted simoultanously. then i can still adjust each part afterwards to my liking. but i think some kind of main groove and velocity would really be helpful, as most of the time the groove-pattern is similar for most of the parts and it is stupid to adjust all 16 parts to the same way. another solution would be a copy-function, so that i can copy a velocity or groove-pattern to other parts as well.

some further effects would be cool, but this was also already mentioned here. i would suggest a ring-modulator, some filter with resoncance and lfo that can be synced to the bpm.

as already mentioned a pitch per step function would also be very nice, maybe in connection with some simple synth section with envelopes, filters etc.

i am curious how beatmaker will develop. it is already a great app, but i think it can become the best app <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

best regards, o.
