Hey guys,

How are you importing Midi files to your BeatMaker3 tracks? Right now, I have my import folder setup with a mix of audio files and MIDI. I set up a track, assign a plug-in for the sound I want, go to the import folder and attempt to drag the .mid file to the associated track; BM3 then prompts me to import (which I do). Then...nothing. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Note that I am using an iPad Mini 6.

I am disappointed of finding few sounds by default
Is it a good strategy to reimport bm2 samples, and is it easy to do ?

Hello, I’m really struggling trying to import certain instruments from gadget 2. I can import synths just fine, however if I try to import a drum machine and assign it to the pads I will loose audio. I’ve followed step by step tutorials and am able to load certain instruments fine. However, anything percussion based fails and makes it so I need to restart to have audio.
I’m using and iPad Pro 2018 with 13.6.

At this point I’m getting ready to give up. Any help would be appreciated!

Edit:20200606. After I found two different, and fairly new, tutorial videos doing the drag and drop as the manual explains I realized I must have done something with the settings. Unfortunately I could not figure out what so I did a clean reinstall and now it works. If I figure out what I did wrong I'll tell you but for now - over and out.

So I read the manual on how to drag and drop a midi file but can't get it to work. Well, once out of countless attempts it did work so I know I don't do it wrong. The one time it did work I exported a midi-clip from the app and immediately imported it again. Then deleted it and tried, again, with the file I actually wanted - nope! Then tried the file that had worked a second earlier, again - nope! So I gather it must be a bug but before I write the developers I wanted to ask you guys, with some experience (I'm a new user) if there's a workaround or any tips about preparation as it did work, once.

Hello, I'm trying to find out how to import an existing audio file into a BM3 track in song mode directly. Of course I could put the file into a sampler, trigger and re-record it, but this is not a good workflow. I want to import like 8 audio file/ tracks from another producer to do a remix.
Thanks in advance, Ray

So here I am again. I would like to use Beatmaker 3 again in live gig. But let's go further. I've got some old songs that were made with DAW, so midi stems were exported to one MIDI file, it contains 5 tracks. In ideal I would like to see next: you import MIDI, Beatmaker asks to add more bank tracks for other midi stuff. But here's a problem. I see only one midi track (drums) and other tracks are not imported. So what can I do?

I would like to submit a feature request to allow export and import of standard midi files. Following what Ableton provides would be incredibly helpful. Ableton Live allows export to a standard midi file but only at the Clip level. Being able to export a clip to a midi file or import a midi file into a clip is all that is needed, in my opinion. That feature alone would be incredibly beneficial to the more midi based composers and would increase the level of integration with other DAWs significantly. I love the Beatmaker interface. It's modern, clean, efficient, intuitive, and makes a perfect partner to Ableton Live. I much prefer this app over Cubasis.
