After importing MBOX files into Thunderbird, some emails appear corrupted or show unreadable characters. I know the MBOX file is valid because it works in other viewers. Is Thunderbird parsing it wrong?

I used SysTools Thunderbird Import Wizard and the same MBOX file imported perfectly with no corruption. If you're facing this formatting issue, try this tool to properly import MBOX to Thunderbird. Any idea why Thunderbird misreads some MBOX files?
