My Excel contacts are not importing into iPhone properly, how do I fix this?

iPhone contact import can be frustrating because Apple is strict about vCard formatting. In my case, the file imported, but half the numbers were missing, and some contacts showed only names.

The fix was using a converter that supports iPhone-compatible vCard versions.

I used WholeClear Excel to vCard Converter and exported the contacts in vCard 3.0 format. After that, the same file imported perfectly into iCloud and the Contacts app, with names, mobile numbers, and emails all showing correctly.

If Excel contacts are failing on iPhone, the conversion tool and vCard version make a big difference.
