Kind of a cool app in a limited kind of way. If you like the Roland button step sequencer method of putting in beats and their drum machine style it is a clone of that.

It appears to be mostly a app for live performance and has no way to save your patterns or sequences. Or even add new sounds.

Since you have most of the same sounds on Beatmaker which has a lot more depth in terms of length of sequences saving and uploading. I can't realy see what kind of advantage the IR-909 offers except the ability to work within the roland drum machine paridine.

You can't compare IR-909 to BeatMaker. BeatMaker offers so much more, but IR-909 sounds and looks great and for the price of magazine I think It is worth every penny.

does it synthesize or just playback samples? Price is good but if it just playsback samples I'm not interested!
