App hangs on splash screen

Whenever I open BM2, the app just hangs on the splash screen. The indicator in the bottom right corner spins, but I watch it go for a while and nothing happens. If I try to close it out by pressing the home button, my entire iPad freezes and then reboots itself. I waited it out once to see how long it would go, and five minutes went by and then the app froze itself and rebooted my iPad.

I just updated to 2.2 because I assumed it was an incompatibility issue with iOS5, but it seems the issue is still around. I've rebooted and reinstalled.

I'm using a first generation 16GB iPad, iOS 5.0.1. Not jailbroken.

    Restart your device... It should clear it up. If not, reinstall bm2.

    Hi,

    This look like a bad installation issue. Please try the following:

    - Remove BeatMaker 2 from both iTunes and your device
    - Download BM2 again and install it from iTunes
    - Reboot your device
