bm2 file won't play

edited February 2012 in Support
Using filezilla, I can transfer files and save them, but once saved, nothing will play (media player, itunes). I need to use them and eventually imbed them into a website, and am getting worried I've wasted my time composing all the music. Hopefully I'm a moran, and there's an easy explanation. Currently they're all saved in a folder as bm2 files. No idea how to successfully get them to play or convert. I've researched plenty but lack the technical knowledge, and there are too many explanations as to what a bm2 file is or isn't.

Thanks,
J

  • Hi Educator,

You can't use BeatMaker 2 project/preset files directly on your desktop computer.
To do so, you will need to convert them to an audio file (WAVE, AIFF...), which iTunes or any other media player will be able to read and compress to MP3, etc.

In a nutshell, open your project file in BM2. Then, go to the sequencer screen, and press the "EXPORT" button.
Set the zone you wish to export (start, duration), then "TO AUDIO FILE". Press "EXPORT" and select a destination file.

Using Filezilla, retrieve the exported files.

Take a look at the manual for more information and tips: http://www.intua.net/media/intua/downlo ... Manual.pdf

    Hope this helps,
    Mathieu.
