Recording Help.

edited April 2012 in Support
Hello there. I am new to beatmaker or any music editing program. I have this cool harp loop and I am trying to add this violin to go with it but the violin part is longer than the harp loop. How would I get it to loop around after I record it, without messing up my harp recording?

Hello Colton2W,

You can use the time-stretching tool to match the tempo of your harp loop.
From what you describe, the easiest would be:
- Set the project tempo to match your harp loop tempo
- Time-stretch the violin loop to that tempo

To time-strech a sample:

1. Bring the studio screen and press the sample editor button (small waveform) on the upper toolbar.
2. Open the violin loop
3. Press the tempo/signature button on the bottom toolbar, adjust the tempo using BPM or by selecting a number of bars. Press "DONE"
4. Press the "PROCESS" button on the bottom right, select "TIME STRETCH"
5. Either set the destination tempo or use "SONG TEMPO" if you have already set it
6. For a violin loop (complex sounding instrument), I suggest you select "COMPLEX" mode.
7. Press "PROCESS", 'save' or 'save as' and exit the wave editor, then proceed to loading the sample.

You can also take a look at our stretching tutorial video here: <a class="postlink" href=" m -->
And of course, to the user's manual: http://www.intua.net/media/intua/downlo ... Manual.pdf

Hope this helps !
Mathieu.
