Novation Launch Control XL for Beatmaker 2 Mixer

I just got my hands on a Novation Launch Control XL, which is a mixer-style class compliant midi controller. I would like to control the mixer of Beatmaker 2 with the Launch Control XL (LCXL), but I have some problems. Here's what I did:
-connected controller via powered usb-hub and CCK
-midi learned (in-app) the mixer knobs and faders/sliders from BM2 to LCXL, no problem
-nothing happens after that, i.e. BM2 won't react to moving the physical knobs and faders on the controller
-everything is on midi channel 1, I checked the LCXL on my mac too to verify channel 1
-omni doesn't help
-tried LCXL on korg gadget and it works fine
- tried korg nanokontrol with bm2 and it works fine too
BM2 should accept all class compliant usb-midi controllers right? And LCXL is a class compliant usb midi controller... What could be the problem here? The LCXL would be real sweet for controlling the mixer and paired with the little nanoKontrol I would have a "16 channel deck"-ish sort of contraption.
