Mute Group vs Poly samples

Hello... recently I'm using beatmaker 2 for drum samples..

the question is, why if I set some pads in poly mode then assign them to X-group.. they acted like mono setting??

Any Idea? Thanks before!

    Hey @dslsm

The "X-Groups" ("exclusive" groups) will only allow one "voice" to play.

This is used for example with open and closed hi-hats: you want the open hi-hat sample to stop when the closed hi-hat plays, and vice-versa. This is achieved by assigning the same X-group to both pads.

    Hope this helps,
    Cheers!

OK I got it... but I want to get sound for example like rolling closed hi-hat.. But it sounds really weird cause the sound doesn't overlapping just like in poly samples and for me it's not natural..
  • Try setting the polyphony to 2, this will probably sound a bit more natural.

I already set it to 8.. it was fine until I send the to X group, it acted like mono sample..
