Bm3 vs battery 4

What are producers thoughts on bm3 compared to native instruments battery 4? Seems very on par to me provided you already have a good arsenal of drum samples ?

  • You can't get Battery 4 on iPad.

    Mic drop.

what’s that got to do with anything he says handing mic back

  • Never used it before but Battery seems to be specifically a drum sampler, and doesn't have any kind of pattern or timeline/song functionality. So you'd use it in another audio environment, I guess.

Totally. I was just referring to the drum sampler aspect of bm3 in comparison to battery 4. Seems like iOS has come a long way.

  • Very similar in comparison. In some ways BM3 is better. Now if these bugs get fixed it’s. Gam3 over

  • @stoozart indeed. In which ways do you feel it’s better ?

  • Because battery needs a host. BM3 in itself can create whole songs

  • Battery 4 is one of the best things Native Instruments have made IMO, easy to use and great for creative process just drag the samples in etc and away you go!!
The key is to keep it basic, its about the MIDI programming, no processing on these sound bites just MIDI files dragged into your track

Check out these four House/Techhouse/Techno Battery 4 MIDI drum loops i found each made using a default Battery 4 patch.

On Beatport sounds and Evilglamour.com they changed my game!

  • To be fair, NI didn't make Battery, they bought it ;)
But yeah its a great bit of kit.
