Is there a way to explode a bank?

Say for instance I have a bank of drums and create my pattern. Is there a way to explode the pattern to individual tracks for arranging?

it's possible - but requires a little bit of manual manipulation.

For example, let's say I started a new track and put my bassdrum, snare and hihats all in Bank A1 and started recording beats. But then I later realised it would be nice if I could manage my hihat patterns separately from the other drum sounds, and wish I had put the hihats onto Bank B1 instead.

Most times when this happens, I just load up some hihats in Bank B and continue composing. But let's say I already have a load of patterns already created in Bank A and I want to surgically extract my hihats and move them all to a new Bank.

    How do I do that?

Step 1 - Duplicate Bank A by exporting it (with patterns) and then re-importing it to Bank B
Step 2 - Delete the pads in Bank A that you now plan to use in Bank B
Step 3 - Delete the pads in Bank B that you want to remain in Bank A
Step 4 (optional) - remove notes in your midi patterns for the pads you have deleted (steps 2 and 3 above)

  • It may be easier for me to just record them to audio. Thanks
