Hello. I apologize for this question in advance. What is the difference between CORE MIDI, AKAI SYNTHSTATION and the LINE 6 MIDI MOBILIZER--in terms of adding the feature to BeatMaker 2? Am I right by saying that all these features share the same MIDI I/O system? Thank you INTUA for an incredible product.

Cheers,
Beats23

Yes, Any one? What is Core Midi?
• edited 2:51PM
Core midi is apples own midi developed into the os

But what is 'MIDI' What does it do and why do we want it?
• edited 2:51PM
Someone needs to try Googling things they don't know.
• edited 2:51PM
The update will be crap without seeing...
Why does everybody do it lie Apple? Release inferior products and then advertise day one features and supposed standards as novelties?

Couse did that, still dont know why i would need it in BM

Then you haven't googled it properly...
Or is it the subtle shift from "we" to "i" that betrays your intentions...
It's just standard, in music production in general and now (since CoreMIDI arrived) on the iPad as well...

Actually that was me.
Refrain from instigating flame wars. Talk with respect for yourself and others.
one word can set off whole arguments, believe me, I've been here long enough to know that.

That goes for few others. I don't like editing posts like im the CIA, but id rather do that than let threads get all out of control.
I meant to send pms but ofcourse, life is busy.

So sorry for not directly telling you, but the thing is, id prefer if I never would've had to.
Again, please think about what you post. Its the net, everyome takes every word that one writes as seriously as possible. Why?
because you spent time writing it. You would've crossed anything you didn't mean to say. Speak knowing that.

Again, what is the point of this? There's not even an opinion here, just a false statement.
Do you understand that this is not Soundclick? The purpose here is to discuss an application.
I've said this before, everyone makes their music different ways. What may be a necessity for yourself may not be half as important to someone else.

And by the way, you mentioned before that if someone doesn't want coremidi, they only have a small amount of notes running their mels?
there's a piano roll. You do realize that multi part melodies can be made using just that.
which is why I say that to some CoreMIDI is unimportant. While to otherits required.
look, coreMIDi will most likely take the cake here, im not arguing against that.
im saying how is it logical to instigate an argument about something like an app? And how people make music?

Live mode: mute groups, trigger sequencing, like sp-404.

I think CoreMidi is winning but only because I think people are thinking this should be a standard, not really a favorite feature... I really think all midi options shouldn't even have to be asked.. And really, I think everything except SFII should be priority to do.. not to ask, "Hey, what y'all think?" that's why I voted for SFII as it seems less of standard and more like a feature.. Everything else on the list seems standard priority to me..

A proper Feature list is on the third page of this thread, check out my list... Those are extra features.. And I'm seeing it grow on my part, but I'm waiting patiently for them to fulfil at least part one of my feature priority list...

Hi there

This is my first post, I'll try to keep it short

First off thank you Intua for making a second version of Beatmaker.
Its great to see motivated people using "new" technology and deliver amazing apps for iOS devices so they get more and more useful to satisfy the needs of ones using it.

I had hoped coremidi, synthstation, midi mobilizer, aux busses etc. were already included so I'm a little bit disappointed but not much, knowing updates are coming.
As for doing a poll I don't think its the right way but I will say this, don't look at all bitching comments, you guys made this app, haters can only dream about that.
Just lay low on the radar, don't get involved with all the drama and push those updates all out in one go.
The best companies I know of don't share whats coming (accept for people that test etc.) they just present their updates when the time is right. All i'm saying is that you guys know were this app must go to and its not up to what users want otherwise the developers are falling behind.

Always be a step further in whats coming, be prepared and then strike hard!!!

I think Beatmaker 2 can be one of those apps with great potential. I'll be doing a full video review when the app is fully loaded with all the necessary updates, can't wait.

I wish you guys at Intua the best and keep the spirit high!

How about Ipad 2/IOS 4.3 compatibility! The hundreds of thousands of folks who have upgraded to the new Ipads or IOS release can no longer use Beatmaker!

My 2star review, which was very honest about the good and your various shortcomings, has been submitted...
• edited 2:51PM
Hi,

We are working hard on the update, as it will bring quite many new features and native iPad support (which won't be a plain copy of the iPhone version, as we are taking advantage of the iPad's bigger screen to improve its workflow)

Cheers,
Intua Team.

I have voted for core midi. I would love to be able to control the BeatMaker 2 drum machine with my Akai MPD 24, and the synth with my Korg Triton
