Can you resize or combine patterns?

Sometimes when I record a pattern, beat maker automatically splits my pattern into two pieces. Is there a way to combine the patterns into one pattern? I tried using the resize tool, but if I highlight two different patterns with it, and I copy it, it only copies the first pattern.

    Select both patterns at once. A join icon appears...
    read the manual...it helps out alot trust me.
