Midi cc per pad

Hello all.
Can someone explain to me why each pad with a sample loaded can also have Midi cc commands set for that single pad?
An example of practical use would also be appreciated.

    For MIDI CC control of each pad's volume, pan, mute, tune, fine-tune, the filter's: bypass, cutoff, resonance and key, plus the volume envelope's: attack, decay, release, sustain, amount, and invert. I love recording automation of these parameters. Deep!
