Drawing waveforms experiment

edited July 2017 in General

@samu and anybody else who feels a bit experimenty
I'm away from iPad for next day or so, so i cant test this, but the thought struck me.....

1 Create a DC offset in Renoise (New sample, 734 samples length 24/96, draw a straight line all the way across at the top of the window)
2 Load into BM3 sampler (734 samples at 24/96 is already 'C' no need to map)
3 Looping off/One shot
4 Create a new step modulator on the gain
5 Bring the steps up to 64 on the modulator and draw a shape
6 Record to a new pad using threshold
7 You should have a new single cycle in the shape you drew in the modulator :)

OK this will be a hacky ass workaround for a draw shape feature (Which we do need for sure) but it is worth a bit of experimenting for fun (If it even works, i cant remember if the step modulator rate can be set to sample length haha) if it is usable-ish, i will knock up a quick video tutorial when i get chance.

  • There's workarounds for everything hehe...
I'm too lazy right now so I just draw my waves in Renoise directly or use IT-Aliens Custom Wave Plug-In.
