How to export contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook 365?

Hey everyone! I recently moved a team’s contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook 365, and while it sounds easy, there are a few things to watch for. First, I exported the contacts to CSV format using an eSoftTools Lotus Notes to Outlook 365 Converter tool that reads NSF files. Then, I logged into Outlook 365 (web version) and used the “Import Contacts” feature to upload the CSV. The formatting matched perfectly, and all fields like email, phone, and name synced well. If you’re migrating to Microsoft 365 from Notes, this method worked great for us!

  • I had to do this recently too. Lotus Notes saves contacts in a format that Outlook 365 can't open directly. Therefore, you must understand the contacts as some prospects, such as VCF or CSV file.

I used a software called **Softaken Lotus Notes Contacts Converter **and worked well. This permits me to open the Lotus Notes contacts and save them as VCF files. After that, I just opened the outlook and imported the file.

If you use the Outlook app (part of Outlook 365), on your computer, it is very easy to import converted contacts.
