In-home help for elderly

Hey, how’s everyone doing? I’ve been a bit overwhelmed lately—my mom's health is declining, and I’m trying to juggle work and caring for her.

  • I’ve considered in-home help, but Mom refuses—she’s really stubborn. She doesn’t want “a stranger in the house.”

  • I moved my mom in with me last year. At first, it felt like a temporary solution, but now it’s a full-time job. I had to hire part-time help during the day so I could keep working.

I’m in the same boat. My dad has early dementia, and even though he’s still mostly independent, I’m constantly checking in, organizing his meds, and helping with appointments. It’s emotionally exhausting. Then I found this https://bewellalert.com/product/mini-lightweight-mobile-medical-alert-system/ alart system and it turned out to be one of the smartest decisions we made. He had a small fall recently, and the system alerted us immediately. We were able to help him up and avoid a hospital visit.
