Where are my Windows screenshots While using Print Screen key?

Pressing just the Print Screen key copies to the clipboard a screenshot but does not save it automatically as a file. To locate screenshots in windows, the area that has been copied needs to be pasted (Ctrl+V) into a program such as paint or word in order to save the location.
