iConnectMIDI + Beatmaker?
Hi everyone (first post)
Been using Beatmaker from the 1st day i got my 3g, love it but i've been dying to see some hardware company come up with some way to connect the phone to synths and other hardware so programs like Beatmaker could be used as sequencers for external instruments.
Are there plans for supporting this yet?

On their site they say
and this could make Beatmaker insanely powerful, even replace computers in live setups with the upcoming ipad or with the iphone or an ipod touch alone

7. Can I become a developer for applications that can be used with your iConnectMIDI device?
Yes. Visit our Developers page and we’ll get you hooked up.

Beatmaker could be modified by the developers to send midi data to the interface, not that big a deal for the developers.
With this interface Beatmaker could become a powerful performance and a production tool. A computer is not easier, just more powerful and more flexible. The phone/touch and/or iPad would be a lot more portable and tons more fun due to the infinite multitouch possibilities, tho.
Imagine you got a few synths and other hardware gear like Mopho, Blofeld, Microkorg or even a Moog and you could use Beatmaker and a phone to control them instead of a computer, midi keyboards, pad controllers and other stuff.
