WILL YOU GUYS EVER MAKE A BUILT IN PIANO LIKE THAT OTHER PROGRAM ALMOST THAT WOULD MAKE UR PRODUCT SKY ROCKET MAN THINK ABOUT THAT MELODIES AND BEATS SHLD CHANGE IT TO TRACKMAKER HAHAHAHAH
No, they won't because it doesn't make sense. Similar to your use of CAPS.
It would absolutely make sense for them to include a synthesizer or, maybe even better, the ability to use a keyboard, in addition to pads, to trigger multisampled piano, strings, bass, or any other melodic/harmonic instruments. I'm not a computer programmer or app designer, but I'm sure that there's quite a bit of work that would be involved in this. I do think that Beatmaker should seriously consider it though. Just take a look at Xewton (yes I bought that too)... Xewton's editing and composition capabilities blow Beatmaker out of the water HOWEVER their sounds are cheese. I also own an MPC and I LOVE beatmaker for it's similar capabilites but even when I'm composing with hardware, unless I'm doing a straight up sample based hip hop beat I always use the MPC in conjunction with other keyboards/instruments.
The addition of a keyboard input so that the user can program melodies and harmonies would turn beatmaker into an actual production machine as opposed to a (great) beat making machine. (Yes, I know that it's called BEATmaker, thank you). The addition of the pitch based pads is great but please consider this Intua!
Honestly, the lack of a piano roll to be able to throw down some quick bass lines or melody is what is keeping me from pulling the trigger with this app. Xewton has it, but you can't pull in your own samples (and it sounds like old sound blaster midi synthesis). Beatmaker lets you use your samples, but no real way to put down a melody. (spreading the sample across 16 pads is like "last resort" kind of stuff"). I have production equipment to make beats, but the idea of doing something when away from the studio is very intriguing - I just need something more than what takes me 5 minutes to do (doing a drum beat.)
Update: I ended up coppin' BEATMAKER anyway... cool app. If they add a piano roll w/ synth, even better, but if not (or until then), I'll just do it up like a MPC.
Hey , big tip, go buy argon, thumbjam, or both/ another beatmaker compatible app and enjoy. You'll get your keyboard, and will get to trash that piece of trash xewton.(I'm so glad I didn't buy that app, my cousin did and man, what a waste of money)

Who knows, maybe it is in the works?
