NanoStudio (beatmaker 2 competition)
I know I already made a post about this in a separate thread, but I think it deserves its own post.
For everybody who's waiting for beatmaker 2, I suggest looking elsewhere. Where you might ask? .......

We do not want to censor any discussion on competitive software, but please be careful not to write posts which sound too much as advertising - and this one crossing the line is debatable. Constructive criticism is welcome, counter-advertising on our forum is not.
Anyway, competition is a good thing. BeatMaker 2 is coming and we're confident you'll be amazed.
Cheers,
Intua Team.
BTW; Can't wait for BeatMaker ver.2 as well - providing it will be iPad native as well, but at this stage we all know nothing about it...
There hasn't been a meaningful update to BeatMaker in a year, and all we hear is that you guys are supposedly working on an update. Where is it? It's no wonder that disgruntled BeatMaker users are looking to jump ship to an app that's actually supported and actively developed. Since the news of NanoStudio broke the other day, the dev has been more communicative than Intua has ever been.
I hope you guys have something amazing up your sleeves and ready to be released soon, because with NanoStudio and Amidio's WaveReign coming, BeatMaker just looks like a sad, forgotten toy.
Just to clear some things up: BeatMaker 1.0 has been released for nearly two years now. We spent a year making free upgrades to it (such as the notable 1.3.0 which brought a lot of new features, that could be nearly considered as a 2.0 version). However, to push the boundaries even more, we had to totally redevelop BeatMaker from the ground up, which took us a year.
This is why you did not hear a lot from us, we were simply very busy, working hard on a totally new BeatMaker application. We did not want to communicate about it until we were sure things were in very good shape.
We hope you understand, please stay tuned for news about BeatMaker 2 very soon !
Cheers,
Intua Team.
Can we expect new Beatmaker to be released this summer?
Cheers
Generally, the 'Products & updates announcements' forum is where the developer should post updates and news about their product, not tacked on to the end of a hand-wringing, frustration-borne thread.
That said, looking forward to the update.
In short, I'm intrigued, but I doubt Nanostudio will end up being the app for me.
Good news about BM2.0 this summer, though. . .
I'm looking forward for the announcment!
p.s. Guys, you need some sort of a PR to post here and there on these pages, because some folks
are getting very edgy It's understandable that you can't answer on every wish - and let's be honest people wants Cubase and Ableton rolled into one
and even if you provided it, they would still demand more. But that's the side effect of a world we live in. There are plenty of us who just want to develop a community feel here on these pages, which will certainly help Intua brand, but for that we need your periodic involvment. Thanks!
Im one for loyalty.. So expect me to grab BM 2 regardless of reviews, if only for old times sake
Still, this other software looks promising as well. Eh, im thinking whats more important to me is developement. Otherwise imma be buying diff software over and over as companies just junp in, make something good, then just rake in cash and forget it.
Im 17, so i guess im young enough to see how this all goes down.
Intua, restore my happiness in this app. Remember? Back when id hop on here like a damn fanboy haha.

Looks amazing from the little video. Wonder who is making this. Could this be Beatmaker 2 or more competition?
BeatMaker for life. The last time I got so excited about a software was in 2001 when Proppellerhead releases Reason.
however, Im hoping BM sees this and recognizes that if you guys integrate a few of those things (Not the synths, I dont care too much for those because I have nLog and argon).
But MIXING I think is a huge step Its important for maximizing the best sound out of any track.
dunno, we'll have to wait and see what both come out to truly be.
Now I only using nanostudio exclusively. It's just an amazing app that gives you a tremendous amount of power in your hand with a easy to use interface.
I'll always have a soft spot for Beakmaker but Beatmaker 2 will have to be something really incredible to top nanostudio.
If you love making tracks on the move, then you really do owe it to yourselves to check out nanostudio. And no. I don't work for them.
Please go to the Nanostudio forums to get support for NS. This is the Intua Beatmaker site. I locked this topic because I feel enough opinions have been openly stated in regards to comparing BM vs. NS.
Respects.
