Why are we attracted to certain personalities?

Why do we feel drawn to specific personality types even when we barely know a person? Is it just about shared interests, or are there deeper psychological patterns that make certain people feel instantly “right” for us?

  • From what I’ve read here https://blog.wedaf.com/blog/why-we-feel-attracted-to-certain-personalities/ attraction isn’t random at all. We’re often drawn to people whose personality feels familiar or aligns with our inner patterns, including attachment styles shaped by early experiences. For example, some people unconsciously choose partners who match or complement their emotional needs. Similar values and behaviors also play a big role, because they create a sense of understanding and comfort. At the same time, we may project our expectations onto others, assuming they fit what we’re looking for. So attraction is really a mix of psychology, past experience, and how we interpret someone’s personality.
