Answers highly appreciated
Hello there. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
I have a few questions regarding the way i´d use Beatmaker. As i don´t have an iPad yet i hope to receive some answers.
I´m working with 2 Roland SP808´s on stage. All i do is improvising with samples that i created at home. So, no sequencer at all, just making use
of the pads and the banks loaded with sounds.
Is this possible with Beatmaker?
1. Is it possible to loop the sounds on the pads?
2. How many different sets of the 16 pads ("banks") can be loaded?
3. How many samples all in all?
4. Is it possible to make us of a Cut-off and resonance filter on the sum while improvising live?
5. What´s the polyphony?
Cheers, and thanks a lot for taking the time to read all this. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

You can loop any sample by using the seq as an improvisional instrument
Simply go to the seq, setup the loops on diff patterns, set the loop range up top, hit the bottom left song button and turn loop on, then turn the samples on and off how you please.
This is how i have "jam" sessions with bm, anf its also how i come up with how i want my project to flow.
And in BM 1, there are only 16 pads, and only 1 bank, so only 16 sounds
I´m amazed by the possibilities the iPad has to offer regarding musical things, and am glad about people coding stuff like BM.
On my SP808´s i have 4 to 12 banks covering 16 samples each, per song. All i want to do is to shoot them, and to have fast access
to the various banks. (Adding a Cut-off/Resonance filter to that and i´m fine.)
(here´s an example of my usage: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/mikropu#p/u/33/R9I-oZ_hZxQ">http://www.youtube.com/user/mikropu#p/u/33/R9I-oZ_hZxQ</a><!-- m --> )
