Upwork alternatives
Man, I am so done with Upwork these days. As a freelancer, I spend hours writing proposals that nobody reads, buying Connects just to be considered, and then getting into bidding wars where someone always offers to do it cheaper. And as a client, it is just as bad. You post a job and get flooded with hundreds of copy paste responses, then you waste days filtering through them, interviewing people, negotiating rates, and you still have no idea if the person is actually good or just good at writing messages. So I have been wondering, are there any real alternatives to Upwork that actually work differently? Like a platform where there is no bidding, no proposals, no Connects, just freelancers listing their services at fixed prices and clients browsing and buying instantly. Does something like that even exist in real life? And if it does, do serious clients actually use it, or is it just a race to the bottom where everyone fights over who charges the least?

Freelancers just list their services at fixed prices and clients buy instantly. Been using it for a few months now and yes, serious clients actually use it. No race to the bottom because the platform verifies everyone so buyers trust the quality. Just set your prices and they come to you. Way less stress than Upwork.
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this. I have been stuck on Upwork for months with nothing but frustration. Bidding wars, Connects draining my wallet, clients who only care about the lowest price. I was honestly starting to think freelancing was not for me.
