Does anyone actually read reviews?

I used to just sign up on sites without thinking too much, especially if a friend mentioned them or I saw them somewhere online. But recently I had a situation where everything looked fine at first, and then I started noticing weird delays with withdrawals. Since then I’ve been wondering if I should’ve checked reviews beforehand. Do people actually take time to read through feedback now, or is it more like everyone just tries and sees what happens?
