I know some of these are posted on the "1.0.1 fixes" but just to get the ball rolling...
1. I called my phone while working on a project. The first time it went to message, even though I wasn't on a call, but the second time I tried, I was able to answer the call, and when I reopened Beatmaker, my project was right there under My Content as "Last Session.bm." I gonna assume the first call was just a fluke and call this one FIXED! Wooooo
2. Ability to delete files!
3. Global Volume is now a feature.
4. You can now start and stop recording without starting and stopping playback. Awesome!
5. New option to delete all patterns on sequencer window.
6. Effects settings and bypass settings are correctly saved for saved projects.
Now some things that haven't been fixed:
1. After locking samples on the sample editor, if the locked area is moved beyond the screen, it shortens the locked area, or removes it completely if you go too far.
2. Not sure if this was meant to be a feature, but the way I read the manual, the semi tones setting in the pitch area should only change the pitch and not the speed of the sample. The speed of the sample is changed with the scale setting, and ideally that wouldn't change the pitch. This would take some good time stretching/pitch shifting algorithms that are independent of one another, but still aware of eachother and I'm not sure how easy that would be to program or how great it would sound. Would be really cool though, and make it much easier to tune samples to one another.
There was something else and I can't remember now. Anyway, great job intua! You guys rock and help me to rock as well.
I am not able to consistently receive calls when I am using Beatmaker. Sometimes I get them, and autosave works as it should, but more often than not, the caller gets a busy signal or it goes straight to message. This is much better than losing your project when someone calls, but not much better than just putting your phone into airplane mode. I would be careful about using Beatmaker if you are expecting an important phone call!
I also would like to see some kind of warning for writing over files. Not a big deal to me, I'm pretty used to having to be careful with saving, but it would be nice to get a warning before you write over a file. As it stands, if you simply create a new document that is the same name as another, it will just write over the file, so be careful!
Can someone help me out? I'm a bit of an iTunes noob, I can't figure out how I update to v1.0.1! Help please!!! I don't want to have to pay another $20 everytime an update comes out!
I am a Canadian on iTunes. I don't know if that matters. It does for TV shows a nd movies....but apps?

If you have not figured it out yet, either click on Applications in iTunes and in the bottom right corner there is an Updates button. Or on your iPhone/Touch if you go to the App Store there should be a red 1 symbol in the updates section.
a strange thing happened to me today. i was making some music, stopped it and pressed the home button on the ipod and when i got to the icons the device restarted itself and showed me the apple logo. I never had such a hard boot before. anyone having similar problems?
i have an ipod touch with a fresh 2.0 installation. no jailbreak or strange stuff.
grrr I'm kinda pissed. I updated beatmaker last night and this morning I notice that all the kits that I loaded and my projects were lost or deleted. Didn't anyone test this thing before rolling it out?

I think it's pretty standard practice to back up your stuff before updating. Sucks about your kits, that's a drag, but that didn't happen when I updated. I'm sure they tested the hell out of it before releasing it, but there's no guarantees. Always back up your work before updating no matter what you are dealing with.

Yeah, that's happening to me occasionally as well, though not just with Beatmaker. It seems like there is some instability and funkiness with 2.0, though there may be some issues with Beatmaker as well, it seems like it's a little more prone to crashing than other programs, it is also quite a bit more complicated of a program in all fairness.

Go to the APP store from your iPhone or touch. It should be in the updates already waiting for you..

Anyone that gets a chance, please post any interesting new additions that aren't directly addressed on the update page.
Thanks Intua!

And, as per this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=111
Beatmaker seems to do some weird stuff when exporting files that do not begin on beat 1, it inconsistently starts and stops on random bars.
thank you very much!! ver. 1.01!

Did a reboot and nothing strange happened anymore... Let's hope it's a one time thing...
