How to Change Outlook View to Default?

I recently spent hours trying to figure out why my Outlook inbox suddenly looked completely different. Fonts became smaller, folders shifted positions, and the reading pane moved to the side. Eventually, I realized I needed to reset Outlook to default settings to get the original layout back.

The easiest fix for me was using the “Reset View” option under the View tab in Outlook. After that, I restarted Outlook, and most of the layout issues disappeared instantly. I also cleared custom ribbon settings because some buttons and tabs were missing unexpectedly.

While researching these issues, I noticed many people mention PST corruption as another hidden reason behind Outlook display problems. That’s when I read about the DRS Softech PST Recovery Tool, which is commonly discussed for repairing damaged Outlook data files and restoring mailbox items safely.

One thing I’d recommend is backing up your Outlook data before making major changes. Sometimes resetting views removes custom layouts permanently, so having a backup can save a lot of frustration later.
