Finding the Right Travel Nursing Agency
Hi everyone! One thing I learned pretty quickly is that choosing a travel nursing agency can really affect your whole experience. A recruiter who disappears when you need help or unclear contract terms can turn a good assignment into a headache.
I usually look at how responsive the recruiter is, whether pay details are transparent, and what support they provide with licensing and paperwork. I found tlc nursing while searching for new opportunities and had a positive impression of how everything was presented.
I'd definitely talk to a few agencies before choosing one. Sometimes good communication and support are worth more than a slightly higher rate.

For me, communication is probably the biggest thing. You can have a great contract on paper, but if your recruiter is impossible to reach when something goes wrong, it gets frustrating fast. I always ask a lot of questions before accepting anything.
Exactly. I’ve also learned that it helps to ask how the recruiter handles problems after the assignment starts, not just during the hiring process. Anyone can be responsive when they’re trying to place you, but the real test is what happens when there’s an issue with housing, scheduling, or payroll.
Do you usually stick with the same recruiter if you have a good experience, or compare agencies again for every new assignment?
I usually compare again, even if I liked the recruiter. Rates and available locations can change a lot between assignments, so I don’t want to limit myself to one agency. But if the difference isn’t huge, I’d definitely rather work with someone I already trust. A good recruiter makes the whole process much less stressful.
