Does Beatmaker 2 TOTALLY replace Beatmaker?

edited March 2011 in General
Is there a reason to hold on to the original if you upgrade? Can the original do things version 2 can't? Is upgrade to version 2from version 1 really free?

No reason other than to get your old projects out of there and into the new BM2... <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) --> So hold on til then..

Not free..round 20 bucks. But other than that, it does everything BM1 does and then some...a LOT of some

Does this mean ALL the artist kits & .bmk files are present in version 2? How about the full editability of each sound within a pad bank?

I just got Beatmaker 1 and had no idea there was a 2 coming.
LOL. Haven't even had time to try 1 yet but had I waited I could've
saved $10.00. That's not whining. That's just math.

Looks like fun anyways. Probably just stick with 1.

That's really a shame, but I have to tell you that BM2 is worth well over $30. Try out BM1 and if it tickles your fancy you shouldn't really even consider the monetary value of BM2 in light of all the improvements and new features it has to offer. I can imagine your thrifty side being somewhat let down, but believe me, in the long run, an app like BM2 for $30 and with such a convenient form factor is a bargain.

Can you do that within the iPhone environment alone, or do you have to drag & drop files on your computer's desktop?
