  And yea it works Fine as an input. You really dont even need the irig if all you want is a line in to the iPad to sample.

  I don't understand you need something to get an audio in to the pad, so you do need an irig or something similar....Of couse you can load samples through ftp, but live sampling you need something.

  What do you guys use? I tried hooking up a USB audio interface (this one to be exact: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://bit.ly/fslnDd">http://bit.ly/fslnDd</a><!-- m -->) via the Camera Connection Kit on my iPad, but since it draws too much power, the iPad refused to let me use it.

  If you want something simple, try Griffin's GuitarConnect. If you want something a little more full featured, try Behringer UCA202. Both of these are inexpensive, and the UCA202 works with the CCK.

  lol....i read about it awhile back before it was out, never needed a it tho. is it good, might need something like that in future. Just some thing for vocals

  I would just use a real mic plugged into an irig or usb interface!

  It works great. I even hook my portable turntable into the line input and sample directly from records!
