Note Repeat is a standard function on all MPC's since 1988. It is a dedicated button you hold down (or toggle latch on some models) in conjunction with holding down a pad. It repeats the pad at set timing intervals, i.e 1/16, 1/16(3), 1/32 etc.
A very basic but useful feature as it has influenced a number of drum programming styles over the years, think hi-hat and snare rolls to get a picture. Definitely a feature Beatmaker 2 needs and probably not very difficult to implement.
Got ya, like NSs TRG note repeat eh?
Keep in mind im a little green still

Well seemlike there's a few things on the list for Intua to consider.
I thought sure Intua said this feature would be included in 2.0. It is one of my favorite features in other programs/devices. If it is hidden in there somewhere I sure would like to know. the closest thing I found was the ability to change a sample trigger to hold and loop, but I didn't see any way to control the timing eg. 1/8, 1/16, 1/16T, etc.
Maybe a 2.1 update will include that feature.
Overall I think 2.0 is great. I esp. love the multiple banks!
It was not in BM1. I was really hoping for this in 2. Let's hope it gets included in an update!
Speaking of updates, any estimated timeframe for the iPad version? My ipad music making sessions won't sublime until BM2 leads the way
No offense ,but people play your hi hats out if thats what your using note repeat for.
Your beats sounds robotic.
Open up the the Velocity parameters and tap with timing for Humanized Hi Hats!!!
As far as i am concerned it's absolutely not for laying out hi hats. I usually like to improvise unexpected rolls or fills on top of my home made beats. The repeat feature will usually give me ideas and place rolls in spaces I wouldn't have thought of programming or playing manually!
I can absolutely live without this feature, but i have to admit it can be fun and inspiring.
