that'd be really fantastic. the ability to easily import sf2 patches would be awesome. further, there's a ton of software that'll convert other multisample formats to sf2, so the potential would be unlimitted. As I see it, the kbd sampler basically acts as an sf2 editor/player without adopting the protocol....
I personally don't know what thy is. Id suggest emailing intua directly.

I'd kill for any kind of external format support (even SF2 would be fine, has the advantage of being license free) to be able to use my hundreds and thousands of S950 discs with Beatmaker hassle free... Please!
I may sound a little bit old but are there any plans to support soundfont format SF2?
No... I don't speak for Intua but i don't think this is gonna happen.. It's alot easier to take those SF2's and stick the whole folder in one of the many free audio converters available online, and boom! You got all wavs... just as easy, and as hassle free as if it did support it..

Only, what should we do if we wanted to convert like a hundred patches? Map them all again because Beatmaker is just so great?
Sorry for my harsh formulation, but opening Beatmaker to a couple of general standards wouldn't hurt I think...
I actually expect Core MIDI implementation and some kind of compatibility from "the most advanced music workstation"... And word from the developers wouldn't hurt as their opinion on that will definitely influence my final review on the App Store...

SF2 support would be really nice but I think even if Intua adds it, it's going to take some time. I'm sure they have bug fixes and the most popular requests at the top of their to-do list, and there's plenty of those as it is.
But yeah, I certainly wouldn't mind SF2 support
I have tons of great Soundfonts, including many commercial ones. SF2 support would be amazing. I would be good for everyone, because Soundfonts are all over the net, and most are free.
Comments
any comment on the possibility of this kind of implementation, intua?
