New Release 1.1.1?

edited August 2008 in General
The Apple AppStore is showing a new release for Beatmaker.. version 1.1.1, available 7/28 (Monday). Although the release notes look the same as ver 1.1 Does the new version offer any added functionality? or is the .1 release a bugfix release?

Great App! Thx, Kipp

To Download the 1.1.1 update.. go to the Appstore, click ob Buy.. if you already purchased Beatmaker, the magic of iTunes will advise you that this download is FREE. The 117mb download will begin.. then sync.. and presto, the new version 1.1.1 on on your devise. At least this is the experience I had. Kipp

Man, they should have an update button or something....I was holding off pressing the "Buy App" button cuz I didn't know if it would charge me again.

Now if I can only upload/download my own stuff!

by ManParrish on Tue Jul 29, 2008 1:04 pm

    Hey,

Hopefully you guys have joined the email list. (It will give you info on updates). If not here's what it said about the update..
Also, If you haven't already updated, you should. It adds new features and is a more stable release, etc..

    >>> Note: Version 1.0.1.1 is the same as 1.0.1 except it fixes a problem which caused a few kits to be missing from the package.

    Dear subscriber

We are happy to announce the immediate availability of BeatMaker 1.0.1.1 on the App Store.

    What's new in BetaMaker 1.0.1.1 :

    - Record mode improved with new features:

    - Directly append and remove recorded patterns from the song sequencer while recording
    - Navigate through the song sequencer positions while recording
    - Stopping record mode does not stop playback anymore

    - Global volume

    - Delete files and folders in the file browser

    - Clear song option

    - Auto-saving of project when quitting the application (saved in My Content/Last Session.bm)

    - Now recovers playback after declining a phone call or stopping an alarm clock

    - Faders in the effects view are now easier to handle

    - Changing play position on timeline keeps the song playback in time

    - Various small improvements and fixes

We hope you will appreciate the new update.
Please continue posting your features requests on the forum, we do look after them with great interest, for future inclusion in BeatMaker.

When does it inform you that it's FREE? I go through the Buy steps, then I get the

Are you sure you want to buy and download....then a big fat BUY button.

Is the free note after this?

I'm having big problems updating from 1.0; with no help in the support forum so far.

You have to press BUY at least once, which they need to fix. I also had the old version of BeatMaker (the .ipa file) in my Mobile Apps folder just in case....I'm assuming thats how the AppStore knows you have purchased the software.

My iTouch is acting really screwy.....whenever I try to upload new programs, it always fu©ks up BeatMaker, erasing all my work and making the program not work. Trying to restore this morning, it totally crashed the whole iTouch, and now I have to start from scratch. Not happy.

    WTF???

UNINSTALLED the app from both my iPhone and iTunes mobile app folder. Trashed. Deleted both completely.

    Repurchased and wasn't charged.

    Installed.

It STILL says ver 1.0 on the iPhone, but iTunes lists it as 1.0.1.1????

    WTF?

It might say 1.0 but it is actually 1.0.1.1.I updated my Beatmaker directly through App Store on the iPod and it says version 1.0 but after synching the new purchases with iTunes it is shown there as 1.0.1.1.So i dont think you should worry about it.If you have the global volume button and dont miss any kits than you also have the latest version.

    Got it, thanks.

    *smacks self in the head*

I should have thought to check the new features instead of being fixated on the version number on the splash screen.
