Chop lab only slicing one sample into pads

edited March 2011 in Support
So this is really weird. I have tried this on my iPhone and it works, but when I use chop lab to slice a sample on my iPad, it only places the one slice that is highlighted into all the pads. It doesn't save all the (in this case) 12 slices into the 12 pads.

Not sure what's up. I follow the directions correctly from the tutorial and like I said, it works on my iPhone. Anyone have this problem? Just to reiterate, I load a sample into chop lab and slice it into 12 slices and save as preset. I then load it into the drum machine and it loads the same sample 12 times into 12 pads on the drum machine. Super frustrating.

i tried a different sample and it worked. what's up with that? i tried another one and it just loads the one slice in all the pads.. and then it crashed. hmm. i really love the app, but i want to work!!

bug anyone?
• This happened to me for the first time. The only difference I can see is that the sample that keeps messing up is an .AIFF not a .WAV. Does the chop lab not work with .AIFF's?

Anybody? Help?

Hello,

Could you please send the audio sample you are having a trouble with at the following address ?

support@intua.net

We'll should be able to reproduce the problem then.

Thank you!
Intua Team.
• Sample has been sent. I hope you can reproduce the problem. Thx.

Thank you. I have been having the same concern. Really frustrating

Seems like it works if I save it as a completely different name. Just thought i would throw that out there. Maybe some sort of small bug....?

Hopefully intua, you have an update coming soon. Can't wait to have more stability.
• I'm using a 3GS and running the latest iOS and I'm having the same issue. I only get the section I had highlighted last when exported repeated across the pads, this goes for imported tracks from the iPod and also if I create a recording THROUGH BEATMAKER itself, a fix would be much appreciated!

This has happened to me twice. I think it's just a random occurence bug type thing because on retry with same samples it chopped succesfully.
• Hey Intua Team, it's been a week; any luck reproducing the problem using the sample I sent you?

I havent yet encountered this bug... Weird...
• Any ideas Intua?

Any ideas Intua?
Are you using .WAV files or mp3?

I am also having the same problem. This is the only solution. I have the iPhone4 and this is the only way it works for me. I'm not able to chop from a full song so what I do is save part of the song into a sample, than I chop it from there. But if anybody has found the solution for chopping the whole song please let us know

Same problem on my iPad 32GB.
Tried WAV, AIF and nearly any configuration in the chop-editor. And i got only one sample called '62' on all pads.
Pretty annoying...

Ps. I'm very impressed by BM2
• I've only had the error using .AIFF files. Any .WAV that I have used by importing an MP3 into BM2 from the iPod library has had no issue.

I'm sure they're busy but it's been over two weeks since I sent a sample to Intua so they could try and reproduce the problem; still no word.

Hi,

As for now we haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Several bug fixes have been made since then and it is probable that one of them caused as a side effect the issue you are reporting. If you manage to always reproduce the problem in a specific condition, with step by step instructions, we'll try again to reproduce it so we can confirm it's been fixed already or not.
Thank you!

Cheers,
Intua Team.

When you say there have been bug fixes is this an update due soon?
I personally have given up on chop lab as it never slices the sample, just a lot of wasted time, so if the bug fixes sort this out it will be nice to finally use this feature, especially as it's what drew me to BM2 over some of the other iphone daw's!
