You are probably trying to load a very large sample file, which your iPod memory cannot handle.
You can try to close all other applications running on your iPod to get more memory. If it still does not work, you may need to cut your sample prior tu uploading it to BM2, using Audacity for example (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://audacity.sourceforge.net">http://audacity.sourceforge.net</a><!-- m -->).
We added for the next update a pre-trimming panel in case you try to edit a sample too large for your device memory, which will help counter the issue you are having.
