Bremencole, are you tlkn about the lpk25 or mpk25? now that looks sweet with an mpkmini. So i already know what to pick up at the end of this week so im prepared for the release. This will be my travel setup for when im at work. Not i just gotta go home and get my ipod library on my ipad setup and download beatpack to create some kits. No disrespect but take your time INTUA. I'd rather have a complete beatmaker 2 than a buggy one for the ipad.
But i really do hope you guys have a preview button for the import from ipod library.
Wow, anyone notice they moved the mapping keyboard, i hated where it was before, and now the rec/play button is up top which is MUCH more convenient. I wonder if any new presets will come with it? I can't wait, at least we know it's on the way now!!
OMG, that is a lovely photo of the ipad version. I have my akai mpk61 ready, this is going to be so worth the wait. i'm so excited. I already have like 15 people lined up to buy the program. Thank you intua for the heads up. Great news all week for me. I'd rather it be right the first time then to deal with buggging issues.

I got the little lpk25, and really like it. I wanted something really small for sitting on the couch, and it works great. It is supper easy to throw in a small backback with the iPad and a pair of headphones. Talk about a portable studio!!! I use it now with various synths, and noodling in FL Mobile..... what I really want to do is bang out things in BM2!
Bremencole did you check out that new akai synthstation49 ipad version? I'm sure in the future bm2 would come out with the synthstation update. But the Ipad update pic already got me super excited.

That is fantastic news...
Now, ironing those pesky little bugs will take approximately what time?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or more weeks? (sorry running out of room here)

Im sure it will be another month of the same ol thing that beatmaker's people are known for, excuses and saying soon real soon. And think about it look how long it took them to come out with bm2 and also how long its taking them to come out with the update,(and please dont give the excuse its taking so long to make sure there is no bugs in it, cause it took so long for bm2 to come out and it had hella bugs) so can you imagine how long it will take if there are bugs on the update. Im just saying, and that picture of the ipad didnt really look that different then the regular. All this time? I hope the update has ALOT of new changes for as long as you guys are taking. Only take offense if you think what im saying is true.
@BiggCess: Yes, we believe you should consider BM2 as a great option for composing music with your iPhone/iPad.
This update took us a really great amount of work, and we're pretty proud of how it has shaped.
Most of the bugs people were complaining about are due to the way memory management works on the iOS. Loading too many samples will simply cause the application to be closed by the system, and it depends on a lot of variables such as how many applications are running in the background, etc.
We've now taken a safer, different approach on this matter and we believe it should make the whole experience a lot better.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support,
Colin
2 thumbs up for intua. That bug needs to be squashed. I think that memory managment is something we all slept on. We were to busy waiting for the bm 2.1 update that we forgot the the most important tweaks. But now i'm satisfied with the response and i'm no longer lingeringnaround the site asking questions about the update. I will continue helping those that dont understand the program. Thank you intua team.
Agree with Colin 100%. I have not had problems with BM2 on my original iPad or my iPad 2 (after the iPad 2 patch). Why? Because i close ALL apps except BM2 when I am working with it. This is important especially on the original iPad and iPhone/iPod.
I am antsy for the update, native iPad and core midi are huge, but wait we must
I, like some others here have FL Mobile. There are things I really like about it, but for me it has two show stoppers. One is the fact you can't just import samples into it. You have to make instruments in FL on the computer, and drag and drop them via iTunes. Just way too much hassle for me. Second is the absence of a paste function. That means the synths I bought cannot be used with it..... BM2, especially with the update, is the most complete music creation tool on iOS.... at least IMHO.....
Could you share the planned update release date, please?
You see its important for us to know.
For example I work on tracks every day and use a particular setup of my choice with myown instruments, samples and presets. All of them require time to prepare (often in a particular way to workaround app's week sides).
So depends of 2.1 release date I could change the plan to finish my tracks.
If its a matter of days I'll start prepareing bm2.1 content. If it will take a month or two I will choose another app as my main ipad daw.
Bozhog thats what it says in the beginning of the post. this update will have the HD IPad support, and plenty more. What is crazy is the new beat maker 2 customers just buying the program will experience the full effect of this program with a whole different set up, We the beat maker 2 veterans can say we contributed to these ideas. I can say i know the program in and out. I love this program how it is now, but would greatly appreciate the update with better quality screen. You can even get the video out cables and make the beats on a computer monitor. using alesis io dock. so many great things you can do with the bm2.
Exactly...and i hope they have a preview button for the import from ipod library...
But seriously...im already thinkin about pickin up a presonus audiobox, my ipod, and a microkorg. That way if i cant preview my ipod library in my ipad i can just sample mono from my ipod and the korg so i can create a world of my own sounds. Im ready intua...
You kats will never learn. Neither will i cause i coming and waiting.
I still have faith And for me there is nothing else any better. Nanostudio is the rage among most folks it seems, but I have never understood why. BM2 has all the sequencing features of NS, plus a lot more. Only thing NS has is it's "Eden" synth. And it's a pretty good synth, no doubt, but one instrument does not a sequencer make IMHO. So, I wait........ And even though I predicted in June that the 2.1 update would come in July, I still am okay. After Colin said last week they were working on a few bugs that popped up, I can see there is good reason not to release earlier.
If they were to release and there were a few really nasty bugs, then everyone would whine about that. So we wait, and believe.....

Hrm that's weird I thought the first ipad had similar memory amount to my ipod4.
Definitely were major issues with beatmaker 2 on release up until now. One of the main ones was memory problems, so that you'd be in the middle of a task and have a good song going, then it would crash and you'd lose all your hard work (if you hadn't saved) VERY frustrating!
However, by the sounds of things they've fixed this which is awesome news! I think beatmaker 2 has the potential to be the best iDevice sequencer (minus audio tracks)
When I download this update I will install, then reset my ipod4 just to make sure, then make sure I have no other apps running, then I'll start it up and compose some music If it doesn't crash I will be very happy, either way I'll be sure to report back here
Fingers crossed this is what we've been waiting for
Wait till your eyes explode and your brain turns to mush... Untill you are eaten by maggots and you become dust.... Then wait a few more days until stuff has been ironed out...
Hehe.. Just kidding... I guess a couple of weeks or so... Haha
We can be patient guys another week or two isn't really much in the grand scheme. Intua know what they are doing, I would much rather they fix whatever they can before releasing.

Patience is not one of my strong points.
It sounds like most of you already have the app for your iPods/iPhones. I will not download it on my iPad until there is a proper iPad app made for it.
I would really appreciate more updates on the process and where intua stands on the release.
We found out 2 days ago an issue with how BM2 was handling note offs which could cause some ghost notes/wrong behavior happening. It should be fixed now, we're doing a couple more tests and hopefully we should be able to send it to Apple today!
Cheers,
Colin

Send it to Apple, and then take a vacation
If you are able to send it to Apple today, we could have it in our hands late this week or early next week.... yea!

The Synthstation49 looks sweet! You can pre-order here http://www.musiciansfriend.com/keyboard ... =791204354 .
It is out of my price range at this time, but it does look like an all in one solution.

Using FL Studio mobile and it lacks!!!
Started using the beatpack to get my samples ready for when it drops.
Should I even bother getting this app then??
