Import samples loaded in music library?

edited November 2011 in Support
Hi

I'm new to this forum and this app thanks to the black Friday sale I was able to purchase it finally. My question is is it possible to load samples from my iPod library and assign them to te pads? Iv created a folder called samples and loaded 1500 samples in it to my iPhone iPod music library hoping I can import them into beatmaker 2 and assign them to a pad/pads as desired? If so can someone please explain to me how this is possible since I have just aquired all of these samples last night just so I can use them with my new app.

Thanks in advanced <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    Unfortunately iOS doesn't support having folders for having files shared by apps, although some apps can use your iTunes library. What you need to do is use the FTP method described in the manual to access the file system in BM. Take your sample folder and put it some where like MY Projects. You will then be able to see it if you want to load samples in. You can also use their own app to create drum machine sets and import them the same way.

    you can import you sample from the lib to the chop lab, then re-save the sample in BM.
  • You can do that but it would duplicate the sample on your device. Using the FTP method is better as long as the audio files are compatible.

    Yea. i understand what you mean. I use this method more like my crates of records, i'll usually use this way to import a song, sample a part of it and save that sample to BM.

    I keep all my other samples, hit,kicks..etc in BM (in folders) via ftp

    I use Fetch as an FTP client and it works well. It is not free though. I just typed in the address info and no problems. I downloaded pdf manual from this website
