I played with this version throughout the entire beta testing process... You'll find that it opens up a lot of possibilities. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have been enjoying it.
Amazing! Now we just need the manual udated to explain all of the new features.
In the sample editor, is the 'set loop points' edit mode used for the non-destructive chop? It also took me a couple minutes to figure out where the time-stretch and pitch-shift buttons went.
I can't get Soundprism Pro to work with the new 2.2 Beatmaker update. It does not show up in the midi setup input section nor is it working through a network session. Anyone else having this issue? All other apps show up fine under input and or output in the midi setup menu such as Thumbjam, NLog Midisynth, Sunrizer XS and Alchemy but it's a no go with Soundprism Pro.
All I asked for was a better swing function so I could get my Dj premier on. It has has got that and then I noticed the repeat function, so long MPC!!! <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: --> one question , I got a Axiom 49, can I use it as a trigger or can I only use certain midi controllers? Either way, great fricky work intua team! I love this thing now! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
Ragno, Thanks for the adice. I took the plunge to buy Midibridge and it solved the problem after I checked their website and figured out how to use it with connecting apps. It's worth it to get Soundprism Pro to work with BM 2. BM 2 is def my go to Daw App now with these new midi updates.

can you explain how you got SoundPrism working with BM2 via MidiBridge?
Was struggling with SoundPrism / BM2 -combo last night without much success. Then read this thread with the Midibridge suggestion.
After a few moments contemplation decided to buy it, seeing that SP/BM would be a great combo to have. Now, while searching for Midibridge I found that there's a free app called FreEWI (apparently by the makers of Midibridge), which is a virtual CoreMidi translator.
So... in short, it works, and it's free (but limited to virtual MIDI connections only).
Here's what I did: Launch BM2, create a new project, go to project MIDI settings and disable any inbound (especially "BeatMaker 2 MIDI OUT" on the Inputs section). Launch FreEWI and switch back to BM2. Go to project MIDI settings and enable FreEWI on Inputs. Launch SoundPrisim. Enjoy.
*EDIT*: Make sure you don't accidentally create MIDI loops (hence disabling unused inputs/outputs), at least that caused my phone to lock up.
I really recommend Midibridge anyway... Because it offers so much more... The filtering is a blessing, specially when trying to connect two synths at the same time to bm2 and one of them doesn't allow you to select incoming midi channel.... And many other stuff as well... Great little app...
Downloaded midibridge AND freEWI and still cant play music studio sounds inside of bm2...maybe it's just that particular app. That filter/connections in midibridge confuse the hell out of me...
I heard that Butta! Having Beatmaker 2.2 on my phone and on my Ipad 2 is incredible! MPC's are nice and all, but the power, portability and flexibility of Beatmaker combined with the midi links to other apps. is unbeatable (and unbelievable:)

this documentation on their website really helped me out:
Remember to enable midibridge virtual device incoming midi in bm2 midi general settings... As well as incoming channel on the instrument midi settings also in bm2.
Connect midibridge in to midibridge out in the Midibridge app... It should work just fine like this.

It won't play MusicStudio sounds because MusicStudio is not a backgroundable app yet (maybe in a future update from Xewton). It does not play when it is in the background only when it is the current open app. The only way to get BM2 to play nice with MusicStudio would be on 2 ios devices using MidiBridge to connect them (one running BM2 and one running MusicStudio and both running MidiBridge in the background). Then you can get BM2 to play MusicStudio sounds. You can however get MusicStudio to play BM2 sounds on the same device but this again requires Midibridge or their free app FreEWI (thanks for the tip on that Kex-q).
Verbalee, THANKS, that clears up alot!. I couldn't understand what i was doin wrong! I guess i can now control any app that has Core Midi AND has background playing. I am now gonna try to control BM2 with MS, like you suggested, hope it works. I basically need BM2's drums and sampling and MS's sounds...again, good tip, thanks! Hopefully in 2-3 months, all of this stuff will be working smoothly together and more apps will be out! Just heard FL Mobile 1.3 is already submitted..
even if one had two ios devices and two docks(i do! <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> ) ms only has 1 midi channel input! <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt=":x" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->
the instrument tracks dont have midi channels!
dang!
im making a beat rite now with the bs-16i...... <!-- s:idea: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_idea.gif" alt=":idea:" title="Idea" /><!-- s:idea: -->

i'm f*ing blown away guys.
There is a simple math formula to set the Midi Buffer Latency:
Audio Engine Latency / Sample Rate = Midi Latency buffer Setting
The iOS allows three latency settings: 256 (low), 512(med), 1024(high)... So imagining you have set your audio latency to high (1024) you would have:
1024 / 44000 = 0.02327272727...
So the best setting there is 23 or 24 ms....
I've tried it out on my ipad two, and generally use it at this setting (as I always seem to set on high) and it works good with my synth apps.
Hope 'tis of use to others.
