Multiple Beatkits in one sequence?

edited August 2008 in General
Is this possible? Or are there only 16 possible sounds I can make for each song I create (aside from the variations of those sounds using the effect options)?

Not possible as far as I know.
    There's a work-around though.

Once you have a pattern done and you are sure you won't be needing to mute certain tracks during performance,
you can resample all tracks in that pattern by exporting a wav from it and loading it as a sample on one of your pads.

For instance, if you have a pattern which uses 5 sample tracks, resample that by exporting to wav,
load it as a single sample in your kit, and voila, you can free up 4 pads to use for new samples!

cosign on the workaround. think of it as building 2-4 bar loops for each part, or kit, in your beat. start with a drum kit... build a 2 or 4 bar pattern... export it as a wav... repeat for bass and lead... then load these on pads when you have enough parts exported to compose your song.

I agree. I am also doing this resampling thing, and it is working, but I hope Intua will add support for multiple kits in a song (if the ipod/iphone have enough cpu/ram). It is also a good idea to make a folder for your song, and put the "sub-projects" into that folder to keep track of things. If you use melodic samples to create melodies I have found it useful to set the velocity = 0 to stop notes from playing at certain steps.
