two configure questions
So I want to use the BM as only a sequencer and send midi out to my korg M3. Is there a way to create an empty track without an internal instrument (keyboard or drumpad)? or do i just pick anything and turn off the volume?
Also the M3 has a internal drum machine that sends midi out on channel 10. I want to record the patterns notes on BM2 so that I can tweak/arrange them. I put the midi clock on the m3 to external. It seems like all the notes are not being recorded and the BM is triggering the drum machine to start over and over not just once. perhaps sending midi out of the bm and back into m3? any one know the proper way to configure this?

Just use an empty instrument... Configure it's midi channels (out) to what you want to use, use a midi interface on your idevice (eg. Irig midi, camera connection with midisport uno, etc) sequence and trigger.
You really need to read the manual if you're a rookie with the app, but that would basically be it, very simple you will see, just a matter of 1. Interfacing, 2. Setting up the midi and track settings, 3. sequencing 4. Triggering.
Regarding the particular problem you mention, remember to set enable bm2's midi clock feature so it can sync with your hardware... Also, check in sequencer mode if the loop is enabled.
Read the manual, it's your best bet... I know we men never want to read a manual because it's freakin' boring, but it's a good place to go, really. (women never want to read it themselves but expect the guy to read it! Ha)
BM TRACK MIDI: I have an empty track set to input/output channel 10
BM Midi setup: is MIDI OUT is on and MIDI CLOCK is on MIDI THRU is off
On the M3 program midi out for drums is set to 10 default
program midi out is on for drum track
External MIDI CLOCK is on
I hit record and play a single note to start the drum machine playing. the notes that are recorded sound like they are doubled/trippled up and some others are missing.
any Ideas?
You need to check what devices are receiving midi in bm2... Disable incoming bm2 virtual device.
It's like when you connect a camera to a tv, then point that camera to the tv, the feed gets repeated.
Turn off BM2 virtual midi device incoming messages. Only leave on the incoming Hardware device you're using... Disable any other in outgoing as well.
