Problem controling Sunrizer with BM2

edited February 2012 in Support
Hello everyone!

First I need to thank Intua for this awesome app.

Just have a problem here and I'm about sure I'm missing something: I used to control Sunrizer from BM2 earlier but I cannot anymore after the latest update.

Actually Sunrizer doesn't make any sound anymore when BM2 is running, neither when its in background audio mode nor normal. The synth sounds without a problem if I run it without BM2, and when I run BM2, Sunrizer stops sounding, and when I close BM2, it begins to make sound again.

Since the synth doesn't make any sound even when I try to play it from its own keyboard, I don't think the problem is about wrong midi routing.

As I wrote earlier, I am about sure I'm missing something and would be glad if someone gives a hand. Sorry to say that I didn't do much proper research and reading about this.

Thanks in advance for the help. Have a nice happy new year!

Best Regards,
Serkan

    Hi,

    From our testing here, we haven't got a similar problem of Sunrizer not making any sounds while BM2 is running. Are you using latest Sunrizer version? You should try to contact their technical support as they may know better about this issue.

    Cheers,
    Colin

    I am using the latest versions of both apps and I can assure you that the problem began after updating BM to the latest version from the previous one.

    I will contact Sunrizer's developer too but maybe I should reinstall these apps.

    Was there something new about background audio with the latest update?

    Hey mobetta, did that work for you?

    Having the same problem. I read something by the dev of Geosynth about Sunrizer not choosing a large enough buffer or something and ceasing audio.

    I was having the same issue.

    Solution - Changing the Audio Latency to at least Normal.

    {Settings ----> Beatmaker2 ---->Audio (Latency) Select Normal or High}

    Ran a couple of test and a LOW Latency setting - always produced no sound in Sunrizer no matter what the Memory Limit was set to.

    My problem went away by installing another app. All by chance.
    I guess it was Arctic Keys, everything's working normally since I installed it.

    So I guess this was because of a global setting(?) or an ios bug?? But my problem wasn't about the latency or midi buffer or so, because I tried to change those settings in many ways and nothing happened.

    Thank you everybody for your attention <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
  • Hi,

    Thanks for sharing the tip. BTW, some apps won't work together if they are set to different latencies. For BeatMaker 2, the best option is to use the 'normal' latency setting.

    Mathieu.
