MIDI Layering
Hi.
I use iRig MIDI so I can control BM2 from my keyboard. I want to play with multiple keyboard samples at one time though (layer them). Is there a way to play (or record) on two keyboard tracks at one time? And could you use the mixer to adjust the volumes wile you record it?
If you can't on this app, does anybody know of an app where you can?
Thanks in advance.

As of now, the keyboard sampler doesn't support layers, but, by creating multiple samplers, you can "layer" multiple samples at once.
To achieve that:
- Create two or more keyboard samplers
- Disable OMNI in the transport bar
- Assign the same INPUT MIDI Channel for each keyboard sampler.
For example if your controller is outputting to MIDI Channel 1, assign the input midi channel to 1 for each instrument.
You can now trigger multiple samples at once and record events on each keyboard sampler track.
To adjust the track volume, you can use MIDI CC #7, but you are free to use any other value. To do that, check the MIDI configuration of your instrument(s).
Cheers !

I've added a setting for toggling OMNI on or off by default.
Coming in the next update !
Cheers,
Mathieu.
Thanks for working in the OMNI toggle! I use external midi devices with every BM2 project and this will eliminate a lot of hassle turning it off every boot up.
This topic opened my eyes with OMNI button.
With OMNI turned off now I'm able to play on multiple samplers simultaneously.
Unfortunately assigned MIDI CCs to their parameters are not working.
When I turn OMNI ooff they start to work, but only on currently selected instrument - so without layering. Is this normal or I miss something?
I have also question about possibility to record on multiple tracks simultaneoulsy in Sequencer view, it would be usefull first to assign MIDI channels to samplers, CCs to parameters of different samplers and then record all notes and CCs at the same time on different channels. Is this possible now?
Thanks for reading my first post here. Best,

It was mine mistake.
I had keyboard on different channel than controllers, so it was a source of mine roblem.
