Bug, or feature?

edited May 2012 in Support
I'm running iPad 2, iOS 5.0 jb, Beatmaker 2.2.

Normally opening a new file, selecting an instrument type, then instrument preset, brings you to the main window. To make a virtual MIDI instrument, I do not select an instrument preset and press x to close the preset browser and go to the main window.

Usually this will make an empty instrument.

After using BM to make various MIDI connections and importing MIDI files, the new file creation process changed: not selecting an instrument preset and pressing x to get to the main window did not make an empty instrument.

The main window only had the main track, and not any empty instrument.

something to look into?...

If we are looking for a clear path to export discrete instruments track by track for later mixing, it's essential to have access to empty instruments right?
I hope that this does not become an issue
