Import from iPod library as track or background music

Can I import a song from my iPod library and paste it into a track in beatmaker? Then is it possible to play drums over that track and record it? Or use it as a background track for my recording?

    How do I import the track into the range,net section and justice it be a reference track to jam over ? I am looking to have a track in the background so I can punch in on certain sections to start recording. Any idea? Appreciate it guys !
