question about a function needed before buying

Hi,

Before buying beatmaker 2, I need to know, with midi connection, if I can record patterns played from my external keyboard instrument, and if beatmaker 2 can make the same instrument plays them, like a classical midi sequencer ?
I want tu use beatmaker like a looper but just for midi instruments. It will never produce sounds but it will tell my external instruments to do via midi (if possible)

I use a Tascan iU2 interface for midi connection.

    Absolutely! Create an empty keyboard instrument, set the correct midi channels on it, and there you go!
