We would like to clarify the situation regarding Audiobus.
We understand everyone is hyped about the integration in BeatMaker 2, so are we !
Don't worry, Audiobus will be added in 2.4.2.
As you might already know, we were working on a maintenance update (2.4.1) to address
some stability and user experience issues. This update has been submitted to Apple a few days ago. This was mandatory for us before diving into Audiobus.
We will be working closely with the Audiobus team to get both great user experience and stability. Yes, it is already working in our betas, but we are aiming for a perfect integration.
I hope everyone understands the situation. We are as excited as everyone about Audiobus!
You see the situation is not that dramatic <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
Thank for the good news, Intua!
This should make everyone's day <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->. So much for funkbox <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s -->
What I always asked myself is this: why is there no midi learn for the controls like stop, start, play and most important NOTE REPEAT?
has nobody @intua thought of this yet? am I missing something?
Yup.. MPD32. The transport all works perfectly since a couple of updates ago. As far as a remote button for note repeat, I use the MPD's note repeat instead, but not even that often.
that means that you get BM to send a clock signal to MPD32, interesting to hear how the timing is when using note repeat on MPD32.
Would assume its not great vs the BM2 note repeat which should is perfectly tight
I sometimes have bm2 slaved to the mpd. Works good. If there is any audio tracks or long samples bm2 gets confused, as the clock on the mpd drifts about 1 bpm +-.
Normally I have bm2 as the clock master, and note repeat is tight.
I have the 2.4.2 update and here's the thing...Audiobus shows BM2 as both an input and an output. BM2 can be launched from the AB main screen but once you're in the app, you don't have the little icon that lets you control and switch between the other AB apps.
So it sounds like the foundation for AB support is in the code already but it's not fully implemented yet. Is that true?
Yes there's something in the code but not fully implemented yet.
QUESTIONS FOR INTUA: Will you make it possible to not only record to audio tracks, but also into the sampler? Also, make it possible to use BM2 in Audiobus's filter slot, so we can use BM2's effects when playing a synth app with Audiobus? That would be really awesome!
well,who wants to fire up the whole app just for the BM2 effects?imo the effects are really not BM's strength.There are MUCH better choices out there.I'm dreaming that one day i can use Filtatron as an insert in BM2.... <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
Can't wait for the update. Korg apps hopped on the bus today. You guys are the last missing piece for me. I find myself checking the app store several times each day <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->
Comments
Sorry for the tone, and being insulting. I just want a response from them. Intua, please comment soon. Thanks!

Anyone else notice this?
