I know you guys don't use the little white earphones that come with the iPhone to make beats.

I'm using my faithful Sony MDR-7506 and Beats by Dr. Dre headphones

So..... What do you use????

    Bose Headphones (Quite a godsend)

At home, I plug into Bose speakers, and have the Bose sound dock.

At home I use Koss PortaPro. They are relatively cheap and have really good sound, if you don't mind the strange look.

I am still looking for a better earbud solution on the road. For me the iPhone earbuds are not too comfortable and lack bass. I have looked at lots of reviews on earbuds and it looks to me like virtually all of them have reliability issues, so I am worried about spending a lot on them. Any recommendations, either with or without the mic?

I guess I'm looking for best quality+reliability in the $20-40 range (for phones only). I know these won't match the best ones.

I use my Sony MDRV700DJ headphones. They're the best headhones I've heard since I bought them in '96. I know them very well and do all my mixing on them as well. 50mm drivers provide LOTS of bass and headroom for amplification. They are very transparent as well, which is nice.

How are those Beats by Dre? They look nice, but $350? Ouch. I could spend that on much better gear. Cant say they picked the best name for the product either. Beats by Dre doesn't make me think of headphones, lol.

The Beats are cool. I didn't spend any money on them so i don't feel guilty about the price

I wouldn't mix my music with them though. I use BeatMaker as a starting ground for my beats. When I load the kicks, snares and hi hats, I get a feel how the beat is going to thump with the Beats by Dre. But for the regular work, those good ol reliable Sony MDR 7506.

In the house, i use Audio-Technicha ATH-A900 Art Headphones. These are fantastic headphones. Check out reviews for them.

    Hey all,

I would REALLY love to find a nice pair of ear buds that also has a mic, so I can plug in and use my phone while driving. I hate the bluetooth sets. Tried 3 including the jawbone. None are comfortable. I don't care about being wired. Phone is always near me anyway. Thing is, I really like those newer looking soft buds, look like foam plugs on the ends. I seen the Shure EC2's.. look very nice, but a bit out of my range. IS there anything similar that has decent to good sound quality, but has a mic on it? OR, I'll take some sort of plug contraption that can allow me to plug in a small mic AND a set of phones. I really don't care. Seems to me there could be a big market for such an adapter that espeically uses the 3 prongs and has 2 separate female inputs, one for a mic, one for the head set. If only I had the ability to mold plastic!

Well how bout this.. I went online to look at the E2C's again.. and Shure has a phone adapter that does exactly like I said.. has a mic device with a port to plug in any headset you like. Only drawback from all the reviews I read is the long headphone cables may require you to wrap it up a bit to bring the mic up closer to your mouth. It's pretty slick tho, just ordered one off of Amazon, $40! It can pause the iphone ipod music to take a call, then switch back when the call is over, and from what I understand you can mute the call or not while on the phone.

Bose Tri-ports i got on eBay for 40$

For me I wanted to find a happy medium.. good sounding "plugs" that I can wear while driving and take a call if need be. You can't wear large phones while driving, but you can use the little plugs, or at least one in one ear without getting a ticket.

Personally I love the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds. They are $30, good quality in ear headphones, that stomp all over the ipod headphones. Decent base as well.

Also, I have had zero problems with these. Very Reliable.

Anyone using the new Apple In-Ear with mic Earphones? They've been getting pretty good reviews. I heard them once and couldn't really get a good fit to judge them. From what I did hear the high and mid range was pretty good. I won't be critical on the lows since i didnt really get themin my ear

Also waiting fo the new Beats by Dre In-Ears....

    Thoughts.....

I mostly use Etymotic ER6i in-ears. I don't think they can be beaten in their price range for accuracy and quality.
