How do you go about shifting Pitch of your samples?

edited January 2013 in Support
Do you pitch shift the sample first or pitch shift the sample after it is placed on the pads?

I am asking this because I find doing it on the pads is easier but the problem with that is that I cant tap tempo with that method. <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

Im a newbie when it comes to production so maybe its just me but i need help.

Thanks it definitely works although their should be a way to do this in BM2 and Im open to suggestion of such.

Also Mcgee, how do I go about getting the whole sample to play in samplewiz when copied their?
Since it only appears to play apart of it and its a full song.

I also want to know how do I copy it back out of samplewiz so it could be played in BM2? Since all of my samples are in hokusai?

    Thanks.

Lol damn micgee you go through satellites and all that just to pitch a sample. But I think ill try using hokusai then, thanks alot. It seemed a bit confusing due to all the advance features and things. Like when I try to pitch a sample using I saw this thing that looked like a keyboard versus just trying to pitch by using a semitones knob. But I will figure it out somehow. Plus samplewiz doesnt appear to be able to take in large samples.

I never try to pitch whole songs...so i was totally unaware about the length constraint...

I am upset that my samplewiz hasnt been acting right in a while...it crashes alot latelly

Oh sorry to hear that. Maybe they will fix that in the future. It is the same company that makes morph wiz and that is dope. Im practicing using hokusai for pitching at this point.
